Training & Standards Officer
- Instruct and supervise a Royal Canadian Air Cadets squadron with over 160 youths aged 12 to 18 years old
- Lead the planning and execution of exercises and special activities such as survival weekend in rural Ontario
- Develop various emergency response plans and policies for the squadron and provide medical response services
- Contribute over 100 hours per year in the development and growth of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets squadron
- Design and implement yearly training plans. In both physical and on-line learning environments.
- Perform quality control to instructors to ensure proper training is performed.
- Control and monitor a Yearly budget of over $30,000 CDN.
- Over the summer I was a producer of the first on-line cadet camp. Leading the largest class in the country with 200 cadets registered.
TD BANK GROUP
Executive Protection Specialist
- Provided personal protection and security services to various executive leaders and government officials
- Achieved a perfect safety record throughout tenure and successfully removed various patrons without using force
- Supported the Director of Security in the strategic development and execution of security plans and policies
- Trained, briefed, positioned, and directed up to 30 contracted security staff members for special events
- Assisted in developing emergency response plans for various situations to minimize risk and security threats
- Oversaw the access control to secured areas and assist with searching suspicious packages
- Coordinated the flow of vehicles in and out of restricted areas and provided medical care when necessary
- Communicated and interacted with executives and colleagues to share information and ensure a safe environment
- Liaised with law enforcement agencies to share intelligence and the threat landscape
- Prepare reports and work documents on a regular basis, ensuring all information was accurate and complete.
CANADIAN ARMED FORCES
Corporal, Vehicle Technician & VIP Protection
- Trained with the Ontario disaster response team and oversaw the team’s vehicle maintenance needs
- Supported the development of emergency response plans by providing subject matter expertise
- Operated and repaired various military pattern and civilian vehicles weighing up to 25 tons
- Coordinated traffic flow and supported the emergency response during snowstorms in Eastern Canada and GTA
- Provide assistance to a nuclear incident as per the response plan.
- Designed training, coached and trained various soldiers during their career progression.
HOUSE OF BLUES CANADA/LIVE NATION CANADA
Security Staff, The Molson Amphitheatre
- Oversaw the access control to backstage area and coordinated vehicle flow to prevent unauthorized guest entry
- Collaborated with Ontario Place security and Toronto Police officers to manage the entry of 20,000+ guests per day
- Interacted with guests on a continual basis to provide venue information and address any questions or concerns
- Significantly reduced the amount of illegal venue entries from multiple unauthorized guests per event down to only 1 or 2 per year by introducing new security policies and access control barriers across the perimeter
- Achieved a perfect safety record throughout tenure and successfully removed various patrons without using force
CANADIAN INTERNATION AIRSHOW.
Security Team Lead Division & Hotel Operation
- Manage a 6-person team in the day-to-day security operations for the 3-day event with over 5,000 daily guests
- Accountable for staff hiring, training, management, and performance evaluation
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for post-show events by engaging in threat and risk assessments on performing acts and VIPS
- Design and implement emergency plans and response strategies to maintain the safety of all guests and staff
- Awarded the Top Volunteer recognition in 2007 among all volunteers at the Canadian International Air Show
- Design an on-line experience for Air Show volunteers and supporters for a COVID-19 environment.
